Sarah Palin was the governor of Alaska. Her argument is that i did what i promised and now i can leave. She talks about everything she did for Alaska. Now that she has done it, she can leave. When she leaves she doesn't just want to leave it for an Alaskan. She says," We alaskans need to stick together" (Palin 5). Meaning the job must go to another Alaskan.

She tries to show sympathy to the audience by using card stacking because she only told her side of the story and not the rest. She also uses plain folks because she is relating to the Alaskans. She uses "We" to relate with everyone else. Sarah States," we meaning state stuff, amazing commisioners, great staff, assisting them, and conscientious Alaskans outside the bureaucracy" (Palin 7). Sarah states," I promised that we would manage our fish and wildlife abundance, and that we would defend the constitution, and we have, though outside special interest groups they still just don't get it on this one" (Palin 5).

I think that she is believable because she states that she did what she needed to do. She lists multiple things that she promised that she said she would do and she did them. Now she wants to leave office in the hands of another Alaskan. Sarah sates,"Alaskans really need to stick together on this with new leadership in this area especially" (Palin 5). Her final words of governor are, "So lets all enjoy the ride, and I thank you Alaska, and God bless Alaska, and God bless America" (Palin 14).
